  • Meg Redmond

    minister of music

Meg Redmond has been a church musician since the age of twelve, when the anxious pastor of her home church in Rochester tapped her on the shoulder and pleaded with her to fill in for the unexpectedly absent organist. Since then, she has served congregations of various denominations – Lutheran, Moravian, UCC, and Presbyterian. Meg has appeared in recital in the US and abroad with members of elite organizations such as Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She made her Japanese debut at the Pacific Music Festival, founded by Leonard Bernstein.

Meg completed her doctoral studies at New England Conservatory in Boston, where she was a full scholarship recipient. She is also a certified Music Together teacher, a music readiness program for children ages 0-5. She loves playing and listening to all kinds of music, with a special fondness for ragtime and Big Band.

When she's not at St. David's, Meg entertains and educates audiences through her new endeavor, "Meg's Musical Musings" in which she provides lecture recitals for group events. Past programs have included "Scott Joplin: King of Ragtime" and “George Gershwin: American Music Master.”

Meg is a proud resident of Plymouth with her husband Mark, her amazing children Molly & Miles, and her sibling Cavapoos Maisy & Milton.

His kids are his life and working at St. David's has allowed him the ability to work flexible hours so he can be there for his kids. He thanks St. David's for the continued opportunity to take care of the church. It's hard to believe that this upcoming year will be my 10th year at St. David's!
