Guy grew up at St. David’s in Minnetonka and St. Stephen’s in Edina, where he was married 41 years ago to his wife, Nan. They have two children, Russell who lives in Brooklyn, NY, and Holley, who lives in Skagway, Alaska.
Guy and Nan have been members of St. David’s since 1982. For twenty years he was a volunteer and coordinator for Loaves and Fishes, and for 15 years co-coordinated St. David’s volunteer ministry for the Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. He is a past president of
Citizen’s Advocacy, a United Way Agency for disabled adults. He has donated his expertise as a trainer to the United Way and to Rebuild Resources – providing opportunities for recovering men and women rebuilding their lives through finding and keeping meaningful work.
Guy graduated from Concordia College St. Paul, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Organizational Management. Since 1982 he has been a certified mentor in Theological Education for Ministry from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. In the summer of 2013 Guy
completed four years at The Episcopal Church in Minnesota School for Formation, and was ordained as a Deacon.
Guy leads outreach projects in the parish, such as supporting local agencies working with the homeless and at-need families in our west metro neighborhood, or providing communion to members of St. David’s who are unable to attend the Sunday service.
